This IS a very intriguing set. We know, that early catchers, used the left hand full hand (if they were right hand throwers) and a cutoff padded glove for the right hand. Now, if I'm seeing this correctly, the small or cutoff glove
has a hole for the thumb (which it would need) for a throwing hand glove.
But I'd have to see it up close. So, it makes sense that the bigger mitt would fit on the left and the cutoff would serve as padding for the right hand. Either that or the cutoff is a left hand fit and these were used separately. This is a supposition.
I've not seen anything like this sold in combination on eBay.
