Fungo, no. Just take it away from them if they hold it right handed.
Thanks guys for the sentiment about gloves.
I have different things I romanticise from my youth. That time in mid-August spent fishing at my aunt's place in Maine. Those few precious weeks between the end of travel ball and the start of Hockey Camp. Water so clear you could see your soul at the bottom. Fish so big (yes, that late in summer) that Bill Dance would lose his accent. Those few days when my cousins and I forgot about who's shoes we were trying to fill.
I have scars, MRI's, and those prom pictures my mother never got to take to remind me of my athletic youth with big league possibilities. I let a girlfriend in college borrow my glove for softball and haven't seen either since.
Hopefully these gloves will mean something more to me. These will be the gloves I use to play catch with my kids. These will be the gloves I use to play catch with my dad that one last time. These will be the gloves that offsidewing jr will ask on a forum in 40 years, "hey docglov III, could you tell me when this glove was made?" These will be the gloves my wife doesn't understand. These will be the gloves that take to the ball fields twice a week with my life long buddies.
Those same friends will heckle me and say, "hey offsidewing, did you sew that on there so you wouldn't forget your name?!"
I'll laugh, boot a routine grounder, and think about fishing.
Aim for the corners and let the middle take care of itself.
