A group of Spalding gloves/mitts sold for $99. The glove is interesting. It's described as having the sewn web laced to a bottom strap. Spalding introduced this style adjustable webbing in the 1930's. It could be found on Babe Ruth and Dizzy Dean gloves. Those models had a darker leather. This one here is more than likely the rare Mark Koenig model XWL.

Babe Ruth passed in 1948 but was somehow resurrected from the grave and autographed this Rawlings Playmaker model from the mid 1950s. A neat trick indeed. The glove sold to some unsuspecting buyer for $3500.00.

Brothers with different mothers. A Spalding 42-201 Roger Maris PM followed by a Rawlings XPGP. From 1962-1965 these two gloves were the most expensive offered in their respective catalogs retailing for $43.50 each. Spalding dropped the Maris version after the 65 season while Rawlings continued production until 1967 where it contunued to be their most expensive offering at $46.00. The pictured Maris sold for $199.99 with the XPGP fetching $70.00, both on BIN.

Finishing up we have a late 40's Wilson model 614 Ted Williams that found a new home for $179.99.
