Here's an odd one from 1921. "Pagoma" gloves along with some Goldsmith equip. Pagoma was a brand name of Paxton & Gallagher of Omaha, A large mercantile operation.

The Pagoma brand used a shield logo on the gloves and a lot of their merchandise. Shown below is an axe blade.

That's a cool logo on those rare Pagoma models. I've always liked the Wards/Marathon shield as well.
Not an ad, but I thought this appeal by Sporting News in 1942 to donate old gloves and balls for the war effort was interesting.

A whole lot of Rawlings "Bill Doak" model gloves offered in 1938. All available in tan leather. First are the "Original" Doak models.


Second are the "Doak" pattern models. The 5BD is pretty common but the others are rare.

I didn't know there was a 6 or 7BD model let alone an 8BD! The 8BD was only a 25 cents less than the Original Doak models. Probably pretty nice leather. I know my 5BD model has a softer and finer grain leather, nice on hand feel but definitely not as tough as the original model H. Good luck with the search

I think the model LF is this one from 1935, especially because yours also has the patented tube web.




There is also this one, model HBD from 1935 which seems to become model 8BD by 1938

Herb Score and 62 years ago, this was a fine glove.

I always thought that was kinda cool that the Spalding twin to Herb's HSP was his teammate and roommate Rocky Colavito's Personal Model.

I always get this confused, who was making the gloves during this time...Rawlings or Spalding??? Is it a spalding stamped rawlings or a rawlings stamped spalding.

By 1955, Spalding stopped manufacturing gloves. Rawlings, Wilson and others supplied Spalding.

A 1965 ad featuring Ted Williams with his new line of Ted Williams brand gloves.
They were sold through Sears and were made by MacGregor. Kind of looks like the same kid.
