A circa 1940 Goldsmith "Joe Cronin" model glove sold for $255 on ebay. The front looks pretty standard but the back is really unique. The adjustable strap webbing is intricate, somewhat reminiscent of the "Rainey Trap" web and the leather gussets at the knuckles to add flexibility to the fingers is pretty cool looking. In the late 1930's, various patents were introduced, such as the Wilson "KurvForm" to shape the fingertips forward to create a more hollow ball catching surface. This particular glove may be related to the 1939 O'Hara patent used by some of the glove manufacturers in competition with Wilson. This is a nice glove with great markings in the pocket and overall in fine shape
