I went to the 6 am show opening at Brimfield this morning. Usually, when waiting to get in, there is a mob scene of people - not today. There wasn't a mob of dealers inside either. I did manage to pick up a few decent items at some bargain prices. My first find was a Hutch model 52 Ival Goody Goodman - well made, thick leather binding, nice Hutch tag and button, great supple leather. Second glove pick up was a Rawlings XPG 16 Davey Lopes with an H-web. It needs to be relaced but the leather is excellent, the tags are good and there is no visible ink. I know there are a lot of people here who like the H-webs - if someone is interested, let me know - it's not a keeper for me. My only other buy was a nice Kren Klouter bat - no endorsement but it appears to be professional quality and is big.
