WORST Uniforms!!

There is a thread about your favs, but which ones do you not like?

IMO, I don't think these unis are all that great-

D-Backs original
Rays original
Giants current
Padres current
Orioles current (especially their hats!)

What do you guys think?

Really? I actually really like the Padres new road uniforms and home ones. They beat those brown and yellow monstrosities they used to wear.

I loved the Brown and Yellow one with the yellow sanitary socks. Garry Tempelton!

Now, the current Padres road uniform is terrible, the typeface is awful, and that camoflage Sunday day game uniform is abismal.

I don't really know exactly what it is about it that I don't like, it just doesn't seem that appealing to me. It may be the cream color of it, cause I also don't like the cream colored Phillies uni, especially with their blue and red hats, they just don't go with it.

Worst uniform I can remember was the all red Cleveland (I believe) from the 70's. I believe it was Boog Powell that said he looked like a big blood clot out there.
Also, the white Sox broke out early games and Bermuda shorts in the 70's. Nelson Briles in shorts on the mound was a sight to behold.

The mid 70s White Sox uniforms with the hot pants has my vote for ugliest.

In my book, the 82-86 White Sox and the 75-86 Astros are about tied for worst ever, followed very closely by the 76-86 Pirates (based solely on my dislike of the flat-top hat - plus the whole yellow-brown color scheme strikes me as unsanitary). Yeah, I know the color was supposed to be black, and maybe it was just the TVs of the era, but the Pirate uniforms always came off as poo-brown...

Come to think of it - I nominate all 3 as tied for the title.

I believe, and given I'm an east coast guy commenting on a west coast team I could be wrong, that the Padres Camo uniforms are a tribute to the large naval population in the area. Initially, I think they wore them at Spring Training only, but now feature them on a more regular basis.

Worst uniform ever...I'm going to go with 70s Mariners.

I mostly agree with Musashi, #1 is the 'Stros and 2 is the Pirates uni's he has pictured

The worst ever baseball uniform in the major leagues was the solid orange Baltimore Orioles abominations from the 1970's. There was an extensive discussion a couple of weeks ago on Uniwatchblog.com. I will try to find some pics to post.

Really, all of those mentioned here so far pale in comparison on the ugly meter when held up against those Oriole orange things.

I'd definitely put the 71 Orioles as one of my top 5, but in their defense - they learned their lesson after using the solid orange uniform for only one year. On the other hand, the Sox took 5 years to get the message, the Pirates kept theirs for about 8 seasons, and the Stros kept that hideous uniform for about 12 years.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I gotta say I really dig all of those 70's
uniforms. Maybe it's just notalgia. Any team that has the color teal
has my vote for worst uniform. I'm glad the D-backs finally dropped
theirs.

The 82-86 White Sox always looked like a bad 16-inch softball team.

As much as I've always loved the Cubs, those 78-81 powder-blue road pinstripes really stunk.

Absolute worst: ANY Mets uniform. Just because.
