baseball glove gods ? please shine light on me (sonnett ?)

o.k i'm still a noob here? so the question is when did sonnett change the cloth tag from the square to the rectangle??

It is hard to pinpoint it to an exact year but it seems to be around 1952 to 1955 based on all of the gloves I've come across. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear any catalogs have turned up from that era yet.

The progression of the tag is:
1) Black square with Yellow stitching (like the one in my avatar)
2) Black Rectangle with Yellow stitching
3) Black Rectangle with Red stitching
4) Black Rectangle with White Stitching
5) Green Rectangle with White Stitching

thanks brett for the info!! always spot on. so it's possible to have a trapper from the 40's with the square with yellow stitching??

it is more likely from the early 50's as they were still using OK MFG in the late 40's but I'm not exactly sure when the name change happened
