Soto From Mexico

Postby softball66 » May 4th, 2008, 3:36 pm

A friend, John Baggerly, sent me this glove to have a look-see. I was impressed with the workmanship and leather. The Mexican leather trade has a long standing tradition of top quality (i.e. Rolin gloves). This Soto is no exception. This 6-finger glove is about 10 1/2-11" and leather is tight, top
grain and interior padding provides great shape. Notice the unusual construction of the wrist to the top of the glove allowing adjustment along the line for fit and the index finger has a wider slot for those preferring single finger control.

Hey, I like the looks of that one. I'll have to check them out. The leather looks nice and supple.

Model #

There is no visible model number that I can find. It has "Professional" stamped in the heel. Stamped on the inside little finger: "Genuine Cowhide". The Soto logo & "Made In Mexico" is stamped in the palm.
There appears to be palm padding along in the inside fingers. Not a block
padding but padding to absorb balls around the fingers. The glove really appears comfortable on my hand.
This glove appears very comparable to the Wilson A2000 01 six-finger "Pro Stock" that I have.
