Kinda OT, but very exciting!

This is what being a fan is all about!

Tuesday night 04/29/08 I had the pleasure of watching Kenn Kasparek pitch a no-hitter and give the Texas Longhorns an 11-0 win over the Texas State Bobcats. This was only the 20th no-hitter in Longhorn history. I saw Kasparek after the game and got his autograph on the only thing I had handy, my trusty Wilson A2610 (Bobby Bonds endorsed).

In for a penny, in for a pound; or so they say!

I went ahead and collected Kyle Russel's autograph. The Longhorn RF went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, one home run and two RBI (his run in the 5th tied him for sixth place on the Big 12 career home run list with 51).

I also collected SS David Hernandez' autograph. He earned a two-run single in the 7th.

I'm going to the game Saturday and will try to get the Michael Torres' autograph. He is the DH who went 4-for-5 with one run, one double, one stolen base and three RBI. He reached base safely for the 38th consecutive game.

This was one of the most exciting games I can recall seeing, and I wanted to share my happiness with everyone (I hope that there are no Bobcats fans out there).

Oh, BTW, the girl sitting next to me got the ball that Russel homered into the bullpen, and had Kasparek sign it. Very cool!

I can only hope the USC vs Fla. game this weekend will be as enjoyable for me and my son on Sunday. I love being able to take him around for autographs after the game
