Sub-category suggestion

Anything related to gloves (pre-1970) you can post here.

Sub-category suggestion

What about a "pieces and parts" thread under the "for sale" category? It would be a place for people to post beater gloves suitable only as parts or patterns.

Likewise, you could open a thread under the "restoration" category for restoration parts and supplies (laces, needles, felt, etc.).

Just my 2 cents.

I would encourage anyone with parts, pieces or supplies to go ahead and post them under the "For Sale" or "Restoration" sections for the time being.

With the (relatively) light number of postings already in those areas, the items should still be easy to find.

If not separate catagories, then at least posting such items in the generally related sections sounds like a great idea!

Here's one you might see from me. I have two fairly rough 1970's A2000's, both lefties which don't really interest me. But both of these gloves have near perfect dual-hinge webs that would make great replacements if someone is doing a restoration.

I am sure we have all thought about cannibalizing gloves for parts, patterns or patches, but could you use a web from a lefty glove in a right handed glove? Assuming it is not broken in yet, or moderately so, are they identical?

You are more than welcome to post these wants in the For Sale/Wanted section.

I don't like to add new catergories to often because I don't want people to have to scroll down and down and down...

Candlestick, My experience has been that there is a right hand pattern and a left hand pattern so they don't match up.

I may be wrong but thats what I've come across.

From what I can see and compare, the webs on these A2000's are symetrical and would work on either a righty or a lefty.
