Mike, I believe the A140 was prior to 1922. Most pages list catalogs of 1913 and not again till 22. I have seen models for earlier. don't know if production was stopped during WW1
Yes, I was the buyer, Hope all is well

Hi Murph, I edited the post.
A rare circa 1925 Reach model CN glove sold for $49. Condition isn't great but it sure has a distinctive construction. It was one of Reach's better models BITD. It was a steal at that price.

Murph, you buying gloves again? Woohoo, he's back!

Whoever bought that Reach CN, I'd pay a handsome, almost sickening, premium for it. I still need one of those.

Thanks Jim. He's doing great. I go see him every Friday after work and have a couple of bourbons with him. It's our routine.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for your old corduroy glove. Next time I speak with Jerry, I'll see if he remembers where it went.

The buyer is going to be mightily disappointed in this one. It was sold as a D&M Babe Ruth model glove for $561. At least the seller got the D&M right. The telltale clue was the cloth piping, The Ruth model G41 had all leather piping.

A teens-twenties Spalding glove sold for $169. A nice example of how the game was played BITD with a player modified pocket. Stall & Dean even patented a factory hole in the palm model during that time.
