Best of September 2025

A circa 1970 Hutch glove sold for $535. Looks every bit like a Rawlings with a pro style H-web. It has "American Leather" stamped on the thumb. Not the same a Made in USA. Import leather was so poor that American companies supplied leather to manufacturers overseas who were free to use whatever glove design. All in all though, a rare and super looking high quality glove. It was originally sold for $356 BIN in March from a seller in Japan.

A 1930's Reach Babe Ruth model glove sold for $400. Doesn't appear to be an HRS model. Glove is well used with a decent facs. sig.

A circa 1970 Nokona model KL-L Kangaroo hide glove sold for $149. The leather is touted as 4 times more durable than cowhide. The glove appears intact but dry as a bone and could use a good conditioning.

A 1920's Rawlings Bill Doak glove sold for $221. Rarely found in this condition. Seems like a bargain to me at that price.

A 1920's Hartogensis Sport Bazaar brand glove sold for $99. A popular Baltimore general sporting goods store in the 1920's. The glove is excellent quality and in great shape. I'm guessing it was made by Rawlings.

A 1940's OK Mfg. Pete Reiser model glove sold for $100. Glove looks to be in really good condition. It features a unique thumb seam protector that wraps around into the crotch of the glove. Reminds me of some Nokona models.

A rare 1930-40's Wards Charlie Keller model 4225 glove sold for $129. The glove's really nice. I would guess it was MW's top glove back in the day. It features the Dubow patented raised finger seams. Except for the PeeWee Reese model, there's not a Wards glove like it in JD's gallery.

A rare 1940 OK Mfg. glove sold for $63. A unique model with the unusual web, wrist strap and adjustable lace back. It should have been bidded up more. Not one like in JD's glove gallery.

A 1940's George A. Reach Sam Chapman model BBC glove sold for $225. The glove's in excellent condition. The BIN price seems like a high water mark for that model. It's missing the tunnel webbing.

A 1963-64 Spalding Jerry Lumpe model 42-221 glove sold for $57. A rare endorsed model made for two years. Features the new for '63 radial laced heel. One of Spaldings better gloves BITD.

A 1960's Rawlings Mickey Mantle model XPG6 HOH glove sold for $849. Looks like it had been played with a little but otherwise flawless.

A rare 1962 Rawlings Warren Spahn model XPG3 glove sold for $89. The glove features the "lazy S" pocket lacing. You will find 20 of the Flexomatic Palm models before one of these.

A 1930 Alex Taylor brand Charlie Gehringer model CG glove with original box sold for $265. A TOTL glove made by Goldsmith for Alex Taylor. The glove is in fantastic condition with strong silver stamping. The auction price seems incredibly low. I guess the ink on the wrist strap turned off the big spenders.

A rare late 20's James Brine brand Walt Gautreau glove sold for $499. Made by Wilson for Brine. The glove show a lot of wear but is in overall decent condition. The endorsement is very rare.
