I'll make sure to post updates here as time allows. You can follow me on Twiter @playokantiques and William @huntingtonbbc - it's quicker and easier to share photos that way. You don't even need a twitter account - just go to the twitter site and type in our usernames and you'll be able to see what's happening. Hopefully we will have lots of interesting things to share with you guys - wonder if there will be anymore arrests this year?

I was planning on stopping at the National on the drive back from Florida. I even delayed my departure so that we would get to Baltimore on Wednesday morning. Now I see that the show doesn't open until 4pm! Very disappointed that I will miss it, especially since my wife agreed to stop for an hour or two do I could stop in. I guess I need to read the fine print more often. I assumed that it opened at 10am. Have a great time and keep us updated with photos.

Small report this morning. We got most of our booth set up yesterday and in my opinion, and others, it's the best looking one on the floor! 8) We have a little bit more to do this morning before the public comes in this afternoon - we'll be ready and waiting. I didn't get a chance to walk around too much but did see a killer Ken-Wel advertising piece that Hunts will have in their November auction. There is a gentleman near the front that has tons of boxes - we walked by as we were leaving and I'm anxious to take another peak today.

Took the train from Baltimore to DC last night, walked from Union Staion to Nationals Park. We splurged and sat 10 rows behind home plate, near the Nationals dugout. It was all inclusive and have to say it was treat to eat steak with a knife and fork in my seat watching the game. My brother and William enjoyed the unlimited Sam Adams. Strassburg didn't live up to expecations last night but it was fun to hear the pop of the ball hitting the catchers mitt on some of his pithces.

The show opened last evening to the public and there was a nice steady stream of people coming through the booth. We've received lots of compliments on our booth. Sold quite a few gloves yesterday - most from the mid to low line models. There are quite a few gloves scattered around the convention - I still haven't had much of an opportunity to walk around much but one of the nicest ones I saw was a Reach Eddie Collins that will be in Legendary's August auction. Yes, they are here and actively pursuing consignors - guess federal indictments don't slow some people down.

Have seen a few collectors through the booth already and I"m looking to seeing more as the week progresses. Time to go to work! :D

oh, and if there is something very specific you are looking for, please let me know. I was able to find a couple things for collectors yesterday. Email me at playokantiques@gmail.com as I don't have time to check the board during the show. thanks

The week is flying by here. Sales have been steady. The weekend usually brings people into the booth that are unfamiliar with the hobby but want to learn more - we will try to hook some new ones today and tomorrow.

What a great time we had at the show! We arrived in town on Wednesday for the evening session and enjoyed what must have been about 20 complete loops around the show over the course of the past couple of days. We picked up some real nice items, connected with good friends, met some new ones, and really enjoyed the time we spent together. When I say "we", I mean my Dad and brother, but also my 4 year old son...the 2012 Baltimore National was his first show! The little guy picked up his first vintage glove and made what I hope are some great memories for himself...I know I won't soon forget it. Oh, and thanks to Brett, William, Corey, Matt, and everyone else who allowed the little guy to visit their booth and handle some of the goods....just glad that he left the booths standing! I am looking forward to seeing what everyone got there....post away!!!

I've got a real nice pic of us at the show taken by William in the shared booth of he, Brett, and Corey. I'd love to post it but the file is just a bit too big...any ideas guys?? I must have taken the camera off of "email" size by accident.

load the digital image onto your computer and resize it by right clicking on the image to edit using the Microsoft "Paint" program. Under the "Image" tab use stretch/skew option to reduce the image compatible to the forum size restrictions. Or upload the digital image to "Photobucket" and copy and paste it to the forum site. Photobucket bypasses the forum image size restrictions. Even on Photobucket it is best not to go over 750 X 750 size or image will be cut off once posted on the forum. Or send it to me at mtinney@sbcglobal.net and I'll do it.

Thanks for the advice on how to re-format the image. Here we are at the National this past Friday....again, a great show and a really special one as it was my son's first.
