Here are a few photos of me with part of my military glove collection at the Texas State History Museum in Austin. This was part of a WWII display. The person coordinating the event seemed unhappy that I brought something other than field gear to display, so he put me at the end of the table with a friend of mine who was showing his military records and record player collection. We were by far the most popular end of the table! My Goldsmith Ernest Lombardi seemed to garner the most interest. Thought y'all might want to see the pics.

Say Chip, why aren't you wearing fatigues? When I was in the army we had to buy our gloves at the PX.
But, great display; glad you stuck to your gloves. Elmer Riddle would be proud of you. BTW I've never seen the Special Services Lombardi.
I believe I've owned or seen WWII Rawlings, Goldsmith, Nokona, Spalding, Wilson, Dubow brand service models. Even a Babe Ruth WWII baseball bat.
I think most of my newsletter followers remember our story about the Nokona gloves that was "appropriated" by the Germans in WWII after an attack, only to be won back by our troops.

Thanks for all the replies. I have Special Services models for Dubow, Goldsmith, Wilson, Hutch, Globe,Stall and Dean, and even a Yale. I guess the last one to the game got the Yale!

As for the uniform, it is the standard US Army uniform in the European Theater of Operations. I am dressed as a Gliderman from the 82nd Airborne Division. Nice, scratchy wool.
