Early Reach full web glove ended at $134, not meeting its reserve. Glove was in decent shape with a good cloth patch.

This 1" web glove did sell for $130 on ebay. No markings visible, child size with canvas interior. Go figure!

This circa 1960 Sonnett "Masterplay Supreme" model 73B only brought $20 on ebay. Close to near mint and top of the line quality. A lesser quality Sonnett "Mickey Vernon" model I posted a week ago sold for four times that amount. The vagaries of ebay!

A really super looking 1950-60's Spalding "Rocky Colavito" model 1041 sold for $61 on ebay. A popular 6-finger model and near mint!

I bought the Spalding Special Service Glove. It is indeed a Dubow glove, not a Spalding. Is cleaning up nicely--am working on it now.

Thanks for the info. I thought it may be a rare Spalding model. makes more sense it was a Dubow.

It was listed as a Spalding, but has the Dubow stamp. A nice US ARMY stamp as well. The leather is in very good shape. Just need to relace the pocket and then I will post some "after" pics.

Very nice 1905 crescent pad glove listed three separate times on ebay within the span of a few minutes and finally sold for a BIN price of $400. Originally listed as a straightforward auction, seller got offer he couldn't refuse. Price still seems low to me. Despite the worn patch, this is a fine looking glove!

Nice circa 1920 1" web Goldsmith youth model 14 glove in near mint condition sold for $128 on ebay. The back is pretty ordinary with no cloth patch, but the front displays well.

I love going to bed after putting a bid on something and then waking up to find the seller ended the auction. This is still my biggest pet peeve on eBay.

Other forum members have mentioned the same thing to me. One strategy to counteract this was to bid up a nice glove early to keep the seller motivated to continue the auction. One would think an early bid of $200 would have settled things down in the first listing of this glove. Ultimately it didn't work. The winner of the glove buys all sorts of baseball memorabilia as shown from his bidding history. I guess he was on-line at the right time. I was at work covered in sawdust.

A trio of vintage 1940's gloves just sold on ebay. First is a very clean Nokona with a triple tunnel web for $45. No markings mentioned in the pocket but a nice cloth patch on the wrist strap.

Second is a Hutch "Harry Craft" model. Real strong markings in the pocket and a nice cloth patch. Sold for $27

Third is this strange basemitt that originally did not sell for $.99 in the ebay bargain bin. It was relisted and recently sold for $4. It looks like a "Nokona "The Latch" model. it would be funny if it was a "Joe Jackson" model.

Before the XPG10 there was the 1950's Rawlings "Eddie Matthews" model EM. It recently closed at $114 on ebay with active bidding. Along with the likes of the HH and BD models, Rawlings effectively countered the A2000 Wilson gloves.

Ebay seller retro-orter sold a lot of gloves recently on ebay. here are a few. First is a very nice 1940's MacGregor Goldsmith "Dixie Walker" model HC for $47. This model was one of my first antique shop finds. It is a big old glove with sturdy leather and high quality construction. MacG really knew what they were doing back then.

Second is a 1950's Nokona "Elroy Face" ProLine model GF2 sold for $45 . Nice markings in the pocket and cloth patch. Again, another high quality glove.

Third is a 1960's Rawlings "Mickey Mantle' model XPG20 for $59. Another classic Rawlings XPG design. The glove is in good shape overall.

A couple more modern era gloves. First up is a 1940-50's Rawlings "Bill Doak" model for $43 on ebay. Glove overall in good shape with both colth patches intact. Looks like a double tunnel web. Leather piping intact, interior lining looks good

Second is a 1940-50's Hutch "DiMaggio" model 53 from the ebay bargain bin at $13. Glove is a little dry but in real nice shape. A little leather conditioner would do wonders for this one. Has the double finger lacing, interior lining looks good

more modern era gloves for now on ebay. A Rawlings "Marty Marion" model G600 just sold for $49. A very popular model. I think every other kid on the block had one because of the moderate price in its day. This is a real solid glove featuring nice markings in the pocket and a stamping on the wrist strap of "Paul Bunyan Leather". This leather is a very distinctive blond color which I personally like and reminds me of the "Tom Tresh" model G900 that sold last August for $190, also "Paul Bunyan Leather". I wish we had a cartwheel smiley just for this glove! Very excited as it's the first time I've seen this style of box. I have one for a football like this so it will have company on the shelf when it arrives.
