High quality 1930's "Lowe & Campbell" basemitt sold for $103 on ebay. Mitt has been well maintained over the years. Always liked the narrow L&C cloth patch.

A current ebay listing by retro-orter for a Stall & Dean "Ted Williams" glove shows the back panel of the glove extending up to the top of the finger stalls, eliminating the centered finger seam. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Stall-Dean-Ted-Williams-Baseball-Glove-Mitt-/170593367615?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b828363f

The Stall & Dean "Ted Williams" model above with its strange back panel design is an outgrowth of the 1955 patent by Stall & Dean for a wingtip design shown below.

Did rawlings follow suit with their wing tip from stall & deans design?

Yes, Rawlings brought out their own "wingtip" design almost to the day after the Stall & Dean patent expired. The glove manufacturer's were highly competitive. Joe has a story about the Nokona executives getting wind of a Rawlings design shaping up to be patented and Nokona sped up development of their own competing design and beat out the Rawlings patent.

Very nice white Reach model 23 circa 1915-20 1" web glove did not meet it's reserve of $565. The glove saw very little use and displays well with a pristine cloth patch on the back.

This 1940-50's J.C. Higgins "Clyde McCullough" mitt ended on a quick ebay BIN for $60. Not particularly rare but I'm a sucker for catchers mitts and this one is a beauty. Someone did an expert job of relacing the whole mitt. ebay seller hawkeye1259 has a few other top quality gloves up for auction. Here is a link http://shop.ebay.com/hawkeye1259/m.html

Wilson circa 1951 model 2170 two finger "Ballhawk 3" glove sold on ebay for a $85 BIN. The glove is in good condition with strong markings in the pocket, nice patch and lining. The glove cost $13.25 in 1951 and was in the middle of the price range in the Wilson catalog.

It is interesting to compare it to last month's circa 1948 607M "Top Notch" model. The glove cost $21.50 in 1948 and was the most expensive glove in the Wilson catalog

Rare Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" model SS480 "Trapeze" sold for $51 on ebay. Always liked the Rawlings "Big T Web" and the way the top of the webbing is integrated with the thumb and forefinger lacing.

I saw that mitt and was curious about the 34 bids. A little bit of a bidding war. I didn't know it was flipped a month after a previous sale.
