Hey Guys---I am not going to belabor this, but I would like to clarify my question regarding the Nokona "Cub" baseball glove and the confusion it caused. I am not going to rewrite the entire question but rather speak to the pertinent quotes from the question. 1. "Since I haven't yet purchased Joe's updated source book"---Explanation: I only have the 2004 Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book. I was asking if someone would check the 2007 version of the source book. 2. "I note that a Cub Model CM-1 is listed in the 1948 and 1949 catalogs"---Explanation: The "catalogs" I was referring to were those listed on page 56 and 57 of the 2004 source book not a specific Nokona catalog (I didn't put page numbers in my original question because I didn't want to come across as trying to insult your intelligence). 3. "At the bottom of the 1951 catalog under 'Juvenile Line', both the CM-1 and G8 models are identified"---Explanation: Page 51 of the 2004 source book. 4. "Does the Model "C" show up in any catalogs between 1934 and 1948?"---Explanation: REALLY POORLY WORDED question on my part. Given my previous explanations, here's how I should have worded it: "Could one of you check the 2007 Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book and let me know if any additional Nokona catalogs are listed between 1934 and 1948. If so, could you tell me if the Cub Model C shows up." When I sent the question to the Forum, I thought I was being perfectly clear (clearly, I was not clearly clear). Even if I wasn't, I figured at least one of you would ask me to clarify. There were around 50 viewings of my question with not one reply. I waited patiently before I sent my missive. My frustration was simply that other questions from other forum members were answered, on the average, in a very timely manner. I thought I deserved to be treated equally. In my view, in order to be successful in the long term, any public forum must be "all inclusive with equal respect shown to all members"---not "all, except one". Brett Lowman, you are one-of-a-kind. Thanks for all that you do for all of us.
For my part, I will keep my questions brief and to the point and, most importantly, purchase the updated catalog source book from Joe. I am not a jerk. I am a baseball glove lover just like the rest of you. Thanks for listening. John
