Interesting Mantle Rawlings Made glove

Purchased from a friend is a Rawlings Made Mickey Mantle Signature glove and produced for J. C. Penneys under its Foremost Label. Odd that Rawlings used the very earliest Mantle signature it had (No loop "Ms") but used all it's early 1960 features such as Educated Heel, Flexomatic Palm, Basket web etc. to come up with a fairly decent glove. Just curious why it didn't go with the latter signatures. Just wondering too, how many Rawlings signature gloves were produced.
