Thanks Carmi, Interesting posting in that ??? Did OK Mfg. (Tru Test) get it wrong the first time with Henrick to change to correct Henrick (since it's block letter)? Several versions of the Germanic spelling: Henrich, Henrick, Henrik Americanized also. Tommy's name appears on Rawlings, "Ol Reliable, MW Spt Goods, Sonnett gloves also.
Cool Carmi. I have the misspelled Henrick Tru-Test. Due to the fact that it was block letter and misspelled, I always thought Tru-Test was trying to capitalize on his name by using the misspelling since he was a Rawlings endorser. I also thought, that since these gloves might pre-date his Rawlings deal as most of those appear in the late 40's and early 50's, that he might not have had a glove contract with Tru-Test or anybody else prior to that, thus the misspeling with the K. Just my two cents.
I've seen a couple misspellings on gloves made by OK (the Henrichs were) - not sure it if was intentional or not. I do have a Rizzuto that is spelled incorrectly as well as a Bobby Shantz spelled "Schamz"
