Latest newsletter out

Postby softball66 » April 1st, 2009, 10:47 am

The latest newsletter is at the printer. Brett Lowman has turned in a yeoman's job on his favorite line, the Sonnett's and OK Mfg. gloves. Some fine history and background on the Sonnett family.
Other big story concerns a glove collector (664 gloves at one time) Andy Michael, now deceased. Andy was one of the most eclectic but interesting collectors I'd ever run across. He was able to sell most of his collection before he died. He lived in New Hampshire.
And also on the "Catch of the Day," a marvelous picture of a lot of Dodger players helping out Roy Campanella with his Wilson mitts. Cool
publicity shot.
Anyone wanting a free copy, just email me at glovecollector@mac.com.
Joe

Hey Joe, Looking forward to the newsletter as always. Sad to hear about Andy Michael. I remember talking to you about the Joe Dimaggio autographs and all the other stuff before flying to New Hampshire for that auction some years back. Still was the most fun I have ever had at an auction. Very interesting talking with him as well. What an incredible amount of stuff he had. Mike
