A few pics from a novice collector....

Postby EXPO67 » February 15th, 2009, 5:39 pm

Hello,
Just thought I'd post a few pics of my novice collection. We are all impressed by the pics of the great collections from the veteran members, but I thought I would show some pics that us rookies can actually relate to!
As an aside, thanks to all the veteran members and moderator for making this such a great site. It has been an invaluable tool to ease the learning curve of the hobby. From left to right: Catfish Hunter Wilson A2007, Mantle Rawlings XPG26, Jack Jensen D&M personal model (all 3 dead mint), Ewell Blackwell MacGregor G110, Nokona G1, Spalding 165 pro model, DiMaggio Spalding 133, Bill Lee Marathon buckle-back, Wilson 563X baseman`s mitt.

I bet that even the most veteran of collectors would be impressed by the condition of your gloves. Very nice! Guessing that you're a lefty?

Thanks. I'm still stunned by the condition of some of the pre-war gloves in those fantastic collections of veteran members. You just don't see those quality gloves become available through the usual avenues too often, especially for lefties like me!

Nice looking collection. Being a lefty has it advantages though. Not as many available, but the pricing is better.
thanks for sharing
