I've only seen one before this. Don't think it was precursor for TG12 as that was trapeze style. This may be more akin to the SM6 (also not a catalog item) and on the XPG framework. The leather looks a little too thicker for the SM6s I've seen.
- A baseball glove is a beginning and an ending: a boy's first sure step towards manhood; a man's final, lingering hold on youth; it is promise...and memory.
Wow - my inbox is hopping with people interested. I don't know what I'm going to do until I get the glove but it most likely doesn't fit into my collection. If I do decide to part with it, I'd like to go the trade route first.
Glove arrived today - top of the line model to say the least. The box is probably in the best condition I've seen from a vintage glove box. Glove looks like it was used maybe 2 times and then put in the box.
I was looking at it before Brett got it. I couldn't figure out if it was a kids glove or not. When I decided to click the BIN, it had already ended. So, Im one of the six that didn't buy it...
Here's the glove - it was a little dusty when it arrived but it looks great now - just a really light coat of lanolin made it come to life. The box is in superb condition.
As for what I'm going to do with it - I'd love to trade it for some gloves that better fit my collection. I'm looking for early gloves, especially ones with great looking tags. Of course, I really like Sonnett and OK gloves too - I'd like to add an OK box as I don't have one.
