Indiana Glove Get Together

Postby Bravosin99 » December 15th, 2008, 12:41 pm

Our friend Matt from Michigan came down to visit our collection yesterday and brought some of his great gloves for us to see. The get together wasn't as large as the Montana get together but it was a lot of fun talking gloves and baseball for hours. Here are some pics. Thanks again Matt for coming down we had a great time.

Hi Josh, Looks like you guys had some fun checking out the old leather gloves. Did you guys end up doing any trades or just check out each others leather goods. Looks like Matt has a lot of neat old gloves.

Thanks for sharing the pic.

How fun guys! Wish I were there with you. I love to see glove get-together pics. Thanks for sharing. Love that 3 that Dad's holding.

On another note, is that thd Okrent and Levine Ultimate Baseball Book in the background? That was my first baseball book from my dad. It's quite special to me. He wrote the following on the blank page up front:

To Jimmy,

May this book about the grand old game bring you many hours of pleasure during the long off-seasons to come. Here's hoping you continue to enjoy baseball as much as you now do.

Love, Dad

Dave-
No trades this time although we did try for the 3 finger. Matt does have some great gloves.

Jim-
That is the Ultimate Baseball Book. Dad actually just got that from his mother when he went to visit her in TN. Great story behind yours. That is something you will be able to appreciate the rest of your life.

Hopefully one day we will all be able to get together and share our collections.

Thanks, Josh

Josh, looks like a great time, I look forward to the next Montana glove get together, maybe we could find a way to make it more centralized for more people to come.... Hmm just a thought. Hope you guys had a great Christmas!!
