Did he ever endorse a glove? Kind of hard to look for his stuff 'cause of Jr.

Yes! Senior was a Rawlings endorser.

I can't find a specific year or model number in the catalogs, but am certain that I have seen his endorsed glove before. As I recall, it was a mid-priced type glove- not a top-of-the-line model.

They don't seem to be too common. I can only remember seeing a couple of these on eBay over the past several years.

Sr. a glove

Bret, you know it seems vaguely that he did have a glove, but that's VAGUE
and he was a Rawlings endorser. For awhile I had all of the Red Machine starters: Bench, Perez, Morgan, Concepcion, Rose, Foster, except maybe Griffey, for sure Geronimo. Even had a Gullett (Rawlings) .

I'm sure I've seen a few Griffey, Sr. gloves among the thousands I've looked at on eBay. It's probably been a couple of years since I've seen one.

(This is pretty sad, but I'm not 100% sure I didn't buy the glove when I saw it. Like MTGLOVEGUY, I have five or six big plastic totes filled with gloves and it might actually be in one of them! A sure sign that you have too many gloves- or, at least, not enough shelf space to display them...)

I've mentioned my 1975 Reds collection here before and made note of the glove when I saw it, since this is one I still need. Did manage to find a pretty nice Don Gullett awhile back, so the only starters from the Big Red Machine I still need are Bobby Tolan and (maybe?) Griffey.

This past summer, one of the forum members sent me a nice XPG6 Bobby Tolan to be refurbished- couldn't talk him out of the glove though!

I found a Rawlings PG18 with Sr.'s endorsement. It has a Wilson-like double hinge web and all the old mustard colored vinyl piping you could want. This was the last of my Big Red Machine gloves to be found. Although I wish I had a LHT Gullet. The RHT does't seem right.
