Rawlings PRO1000H vs HC vs HCD

Postby golfswing » July 17th, 2008, 10:52 pm

What if any are the differences between a Rawlings PRO1000H and a PRO1000HC or a PRO1000HCD?

Aren't they all 12 inch H webs or are there differences?

Thanks in advance.

No its not. The HCD was something used to differentiate the Phillipines versions from the USA versions when the switch occurred. The "D" stands for Domestic. They are all the same gloves though. Just the evolution of the Rawlings tagging system as Doc has previously alluded to. I believe, but I am not sure, the C was added for conventional back once these PRO1000's were made with all sorts of webs and backs.

good job hrking you are right on when that happened we were fighting to save USA gloves ( we lost for a while but here we are here now ha) The oversea's model deserved the strange letter but marketting at that time was busy building coffins and that looked like a damn good nail to them for ole USA models. Unfortunally when I retire I don't see anyone coming a long to keep this going. But thanks to my what seemed like a good idea at the time of marrying a beautiful but child bride( it was and still is) she not going to let me out for a couple of more years so she can play golf with me every day wow huh ha. oh well.

So, if I am going to do a USA glove I need to get on it sooner than later?

here's why

The reason your bride wants to play golf with you is that she beats you regularly on the links like a borrowed mule!!!
Didn't she ask why you always played with guys who were better than you at golf?
You replied that just about covered everyone you knew.
You should take up senior softball. They put in a runner for you.

I've owned several PRO-1000HCBD. Believe they're from '98. Nice and stiff with a great shape. Not Pro Issue, but plenty of 3rd basemen used it. Here's a minty with tags 8)
