Expert Glove Repairman "Doc" John Golomb and I go way back to the early 1990s when Doc did a number of repair and refurbishings of gloves for me
and always in a stellar manner. He and I collaborated on making some replica Lou Gehrig and Joe Jackson gloves all with success.
This is to let all know that Doc is still in business and doing well:
Baseballglove.com is his web site
He can be emailed at:
GloveDr@aol.com
Doc's street address is 3, 2nd Street #1, Brooklyn, NY 11231
The glove doctor recently took my ratted out Jim Bottomley glove (liner, piping) and turned it into a dream glove from the rear (only missing the Rawlings patch) even with a shearling padded wrist.
John was involved in the famous Everlast Company (boxing gloves and gear) which his grandfather started. So he's maintaining a family tradition and reputation, richly deserved.
If you have a glove in need (especially the non Rawlings that K. Jenkins does such a superb job on) then give John a contact.
