I finally finished hubby's glove yesterday. It isn't perfect but I'm content that it is done (for now, I plan on fixing a couple of mistakes). It isn't quite the effort accomplished by rmiller's son Tennyson, but I'm glad it is done. Still debating on working on my buffalo. I may undo these laces and redo them for one more practice run before I work on a glove that actually matters.

Missed a hole there on the hinge, eh?

Seriously, that is a great first effort. You should have a good idea now of what's involved, which areas are the toughest to work on and have a better feel for how the laces react and how the tools work.

Practice makes perfect! It gets easier each time and by the time you've done a few gloves you should start to really get the hang of it. Before you know it, that "weekend long" relacing job will only take a couple of hours!

Thanks guys, I'm glad my second attempt turned out better. http://www.vintagebaseballgloveforum.co ... php?t=2505

My better half got home, saw this glove and freaked! I'm now listening to grumbling about how I messed it up. Thank goodness it wasn't the gamer glove! Lots of muttering in my house about having to fix it. It's true, I did make mistakes. But hey, it isn't like I was going to do my glove first, right?
