Glove Cleaning Idea

Posted this back awhile ago and didn't get a response, so thought I'd throw it out there again.
Has anybody ever used...the cleaner made for cleaning leather sneakers/tennis shoes to clean their gloves? I'm talking about the stuff sold in just about any store that sells shoe laces, shoe polish and shoe care items.
It seems a logical idea. The stuff is designed for cleaning leather, you have that little brush on top of the bottle for scrubbing and when I've used it in the past it really did a good job on my shoes.
Maybe I'll have to be the guinea pig and try it myself...
