Here's a couple photos of our A2000 1788's. Brown Kip is mine, black and gray is my son's.

Hi oakfan33, both gloves are very sharp. Just curious if you each broke in your own gloves as they both look like they were broke in to be shaped the same. Very nice.

How do you like the kip A2000 vs the regular A2000? I have owned the grey and black glove pictured.I've heard good things about the kip A2000's . Are they different than the new A2K gloves?

We both broke our own gloves in although I cleaned and shaped his on a regular basis, 2 or 3 times a week with just a damp cloth during the season. He's had his for about 3 years now. I never realized that they looked so much alike the way they're broken in, good eyes!!

RedSoxFan81,

The Kip A2000 is built a little differently. The finger back lining is leather whereas the black/gray has the "NashBack finger lining(this came on the older A2000's) which is supposed to absorb sweat and keep your hand from slipping. I've found that the "Nash Back lining gets a little stiff, brittle and a little rough over time. The leather lining feels much better. The thumb loop is built differently on the Kip, it's like an A2K. The welting on the Kip is a smooth rolled leather like the A2K. I've tried the A2K 1796 on a couple times but didn't like the texture and feel of the leather. Maybe because this one is already molded to my hand, I don't know. I Like both A2000's but lean more towards the Kip. I just really liked the Kips when they first came out. I don't know if they even make these anymore. I would like to get my hands on some more.
