Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Hey guys just wondering about a glove on game used universe auctions.

Its a rollie fingers game used glove according to them they say circa 1983 but when you look up close it has LBE01 as the date code. So i thought that would be 1992? how far back did the black horse code start? and am i reading it wrong? Here's the link

I may not be the best one to answer this but from what I can find the blackhorse code starts about 1987 or 1988. Still there are some on this forum that have indicated they have blackhorse gloves from the early to mid-1980's, (1983-84-85). If someone knows for certain both quaz and I would like to know.........

I had heard in the past BLACKHORSE started in 1983; ended in 1997. The website says this glove is from 1982... Maybe there were some gloves using BLACKHORSE in 1982 - makes more sense than saying this glove is from 1992 given the player's history. Good catch by the way!

i was thinking mabye it was his softball game glove in an old timers game, maybe, huh? Probably totally off.
