Has anyone have or used one of the Sandlot series gloves. I like the way they look and wanted to pick one up. Just wanted some feedback pro & con.

You get what you pay for. I had a dad talk to me about relacing a shoeless joe catchers mitt (basically same concept) his son tried to use for HS baseball. I advised him to go buy a "new" Rawlings GG and a "new" HOH. One to catch with now, the other to begin breaking in for next season. I would not waste the money (~$65) on a sand lot glove when you can pick up a better alternative (GG) for around the same price if you shop around. On the other hand I don't buy my "new" blue jeans with holes in them either.

biggest drawback to the sandlot series is the liner which is extremely thin and very poor quality. it wont hold up. sandlot line has an interesting look and they do feel good on the hand but for any sort of serious play they will not last.

I bought one at the beginning of this year because I thought it looked cool. Mine's the SL115 with the I-Web. I didn't take long at all to break in which is to be expected. I used it probably 3 times per week this year because I absolutely love how it feels, I re-strung the web and the fingers in black and it looks really good. This glove isn't going to last me at all, the liner's already showing signs of wear, but it is a good glove overall for the price.
