Nice Mizuno in need of stitching…Worth fixing??

This is a GPT-6 I’ve had for a while and I need some opinions. Very nice, very cool glove, but as you can see, it needs some conditioning and the stitching on the thumb side is in need of repair. I have no idea what a project like this involves. I could do the relace, but is it worth it to have the stitching repaired, and where would I take it to have the stitching done?

I'm posting here instead of the repair section, because I'd like your opinions in terms of potential future trade value (I'm not a lefty)- is it worth it, or is it a lost cause?

I'm surprised there aren't more gloves with something in the pocket to get the ball to stick. It makes sense that a basket weave pocket would stick to the ball better than smooth leather.
