Yard sale find. Mizuno MB7000 Black Magic has a woven mesh kind of material on the back. New lace, but way to tight and twisted, and just not done very well in general. I already removed lace from fingers. Kind of a cool glove- it’s in excellent condition, some wear on tops of fingers, and needs a lace job, so it should make a fun project. My wife thinks yellow lace might kind of neat. I’ll think about that. Made in Taiwan- are there fake Mizunos? Either way, it should be fun to have a catch with, and the price was right!

That is so funny you would say that. When I lace a glove, someone (usually one of my kids) ask why I have the laces so long. I like it, but some some people think it's kind of weird I guess.

Well, yellow it is. Anybody know where I can get some yellow lace to put in this glove?

Just got my first batch of laces from this new source:

http://www.tripledbaseball.com/index.htm

Not bad laces, arrived about 4 days after they were ordered, worked out to about $2.70 per lace after adding the shipping.

The automated payment calculator on that web site doesn't seem to work right. When I tried it, it added way too much for shipping and sales tax. A quick email to the owner solved that problem- he sent me a direct invoice.

Of all the colors they have, it doesn't look like they have a bright yellow. Maybe what they're calling "gold" would be close. I know that the laces I ordered were lighter in color than the sample colors shown on the web site.

I've bought laces from Glove-Works before and had no problems or complaints.

Let us know how it feels when you finish the relace. I had one of those but got rid of it when it got too flimsy{from the mesh back I suppose}. I've always wondered how a relace job might have stiffened it up. One of the most comfortable gloves I've ever had but just got way too floppy.
