Im looking in to either buying a Pro1mtc or Pro12tc to use as a gamer in my high school baseball team. After I called Don Morton this morning and learned that they shipped priority mail to Canada I had to try out a horween glove that everyone raves about. Btw I play middle infield.

I think the 1MTC is 11.5" the other is closer to 12" ??????? other guys will be able to confirm this. For hardball middle infield I'd go for the 11.5"

I was first deciding to buy the PRO12TC because the great ozzie smith used the glove. I remember him saying when asked why did he use a 12 inch glove for shortstop when usual shortstops use nothing more than 11.5 inches he said he felt it gave him an edge but the glove still had a shallow pocket to perform quick throws. If anyone have a PRO12TC or PRO1MTC could you please tell me the pros and cons of each glove. Thanks!

Don't know if anyone you play hardball with has various size gloves, but honestly the very best thing I'd suggest is have someone hit you ground balls and play catch with the different sizes from 11" - 11 1/4" -11.5"-11 3/4"-12"
I've think everyone has a personal preference. My hardball days are done and I just play competitive softball and still prefer to use a small glove 11.5".

I would go with the PRO1 but it takes a lot of work to break these gloves in... might be ready for college.

I bought a Morton PRO12TC about two years ago because it's so similar to the TG-12 I had as a kid. Like all HOH gloves, need to work to break them in, but they really last a long time. Quality is excellent. Personally, I think it's a good size for shortstop. My daughter uses a slightly larger PRO-T for shortstop and third base in fastpitch softball.

I've never played with a pro 1 but I have played short with a pro 12 usa and I think you would be very happy with it. As someone else mentioned, the pocket is very shallow so ball to hand transfer is lightning quick.

I have a PRO1 that is a made in the USA model. It's about 10 years old. It is sweet, broken in, and almost like new. I play softball and it's a little too small for me. I let my son use it for a couple of years when he played little league, but now it just sits on my shelf. I may sell it one day......

Thanks everyone for your opinions, I just ordered a PRO12TC because I wanted to try something new because I have always went with a modified trap. Also one of my teammate`s dad had an old PRO12TC so when I caught some grounders with it I was immediately hooked.

I just recieved it today from don morton. It is beautiful! I love the smell of the leather. Right after I break it in, right away this becomes my gamer.
