I had the chance to demo a Akadema catchers mitt over the weekend (APM41) and was very impressed with the glove. Lightweight, nice pocket, and quality construction. Here it is on their website:

I've never used one of their gloves and would appreciate some feedback on them...also, where are the made? Japan?

A couple New Jersey guys started the company - one a former minor league player. They're made in China and Indonesia. Here's some good articles about how they got started, etc, and their lawsuit with Louisville Slugger:

Joe Gilligan and his brother, Akadema Heads, are super folks and just love their ball gloves. They love their old glove veterans too like the Denkerts.
Sent me some information on the old company. We've featured them in the newsletter. They're putting out some super replicas. Very innovative and knowledgeable glove people.
They're one of us!
