eBay glove the seller ranked a 6 out of 10. This glove was restored with a lot of lace help (thanks for sending me the laces) from Randal (rmiller). This is the first full re-lace I've done with thick Tanner's laces. I am not happy with the thumb and pinkie lacing, but its always hit or miss for me to get those threaded just right )c;

Looks great. Amazing what a little elbow grease can do. The white lettering looks fantastic now.

Isn't it amazing how new laces can change a 6 to an 11! Super sweet job!

Thanks for the kind comments all.

The patches were cleaned with an old soft toothbrush and liquid All free laundry detergent. I may have scrubbed a little too hard on the large oval R because I brought up a few of the threads. Its really hard to go with the thread direction when it changes direction on you in the dirtiest spots.

Solid job on the glove. I have found that using 3/16" laces on the thumb and pinkie is the way to go. I always had problems when I used the big laces in those places. Now days I go with 1/4" in the fingers, and some webs (Mod I, trap, etc.) and 3/16" on the pocket, heel, and thumb-pinkie. Some gloves (usually older models) are better suited to the 3/16" but I still try to get 1/4" in the high stress areas if it doesn't affect the glove's feel and performance. Keep up the good work!

Nice job, I love the final results when you redo a good quality glove and it looks almost new.

awarsoca,
That's beautiful work, you should be very proud. I love the contrast with the red rawhide laces. In fact, I had actually bought two brand new gloves and re-laced them with red rawhide. My wife couldn't believe that I would do that to a brand new glove, but she changed her mind when she saw the finished product. Bright Cardinal Red Tanner's laces on a dark black glove!! Awesome combination. An excellent job, sir. Keep up the good work.

p.s. As soon as I get some extra time, my next two projects will be re-lacing a black glove and a sandstone glove with Dodger Blue rawhide. I saw pictures that someone had on the forum, and that combo was also quite impressive.

y'all are making me blush. I'm honored that y'all think my re-lacing is done well. I'm a perfectionist so any little idiosyncrasy i see, annoys me to no end.
All I had was some thick 3/16" Randal sent me (no 1/4"). I was comparing the lacing to my PRO20HCP and noticed that the 3/16 i used is as thick as the 1/4" on my PRO20, but the 3/16 on the PRO20 (palm, thumb and pinkie) is thin.
I could have made the thumb and pinkie lacing more to my liking (no funky turns on the double hole) with the thinner lacing.

Regardless, the color contrast is great and the glove cleaned up very nicely.

Thanks again for all the kind words.
