I was just curious if anyone has ever used one of the mizuno GMP Pro model gloves. They are the most expensive they offer with the 4D technology. I am trying to do some research to find out what modern gloves perform the best and have the best feel. Thanks guys

I have been doing similar research for the past 8 months. I have a
GMP 1
GMP 10
MZP 11
MWV-504

The top three are very similar and surprisingly I like the MZP 11 the best because of the "feel"

The older MWV is very nice and the one that cost the most it is in like new condition. I have tried to find an older glove along with a new one and one restored for Wilson , Rawliings, Mizuno, Nokona these are the ones that seem to be popular (most loved) among the forum members.

I haven't posted before just been learning all I can about gloves. This forum is by far the best resource I have found. I am a rec. slowpitch player but love gloves and the feel of leather.

I also have a number of other new/used gloves from the different companies if your interested. Would love to share info about modern gloves and why people like one over the other

Yeah I think each person has that "feel" they like or are looking for when it comes to gloves. I like a glove that has that really soft feel through the palm/web/ and the rest of the catching surface. But I don't like a floppy glove, so I like it where it has enough firmness on the outside and in the pinky/thumb fingers to keep it's shape. Still looking for it

I have an mzp 40 that I absolutely love. I played with one about 8 years ago and was lucky enough to find one in new condition on this forum.

I think they're pretty similar to the newer GMP gloves. It's one of the softest and lightest gloves I've ever put on my hand. I wish they still produced them and I could afford to snatch a few up for future use.

I love the old MZP series too. They had the superior Double Tanned Japan leather...great stuff. Had one of those Matsui GMP 55s on my hand today and instantly felt the difference between the new Pro Limiteds and the MZP PLs.
