Has anyone seen the vintage series put out by Spalding? When are the "Big Three" gonna get on board?

I've seen them - they actually sell them at the Baseball Hall of Fame gift shop. I thought they looked neat but it seemed they used a lesser grade leather to make them.

These Spaldings and the Shoeless Joe gloves are some of the coolest I have ever seen. I love how they combine a vintage look with modern glove technology to make a "new-old" glove. However ...

I think they look awesome, but, like others have said about the Sandlot series and Brett has mentioned here, I am not sure they are of the best quality they could be.

I had a leather bomber jacket when I was in college, made of "distressed" leather. It looked like it had been made years ago, and had seen a lot of action when I made bomber raids over the enemy and it was really fashionable at the time. However, the leather was easily scuffed, scarred and stained beyond the level of the fashionable distressing process. I didn't feel like it was holding up very well. I think the distressing process that gave it its vintage look also literally distressed the leather, making it less durable.

That's what I am afraid of with these vintage gloves. The "vintage-ing" process may make them less durable.

I have a shoeless joe catchers mitt, which I bought new for $20. The leather on it is nice. The metal eyelets bust off very easily though.

The shoeless joe position player gloves are awful. Yea they look cool but for the price they charge the craftsmanship of the glove is terrible.

My reaction too. I think they are in the same league with Sandlot gloves, and Roy Hobbs. The look cool, but for the money I would go with a Rawlings GG or spend more for an awesome HOH.
