Has anyone else ever come across one of these? Does anyone remember what the purpose was behind the design?

On the first base model like this, I guess Rawlings wanted togive firstbasemen the feel of a smaller, more controllable infield glove, with the size and scoop of a firstbase mitt.

That Mizuno is the coolest glove I've ever seen!
