I like to wear a batting glove underneath my baseball glove. I Have some of the Rawlings Workhorse gloves with the Oiltac leather. I was wondering if the oil in these gloves will degade the inner linings of my HOH or Pro Preffered gloves?

thanks,
Mike

I don't think the oil would be worse than sweat from your hand... Might be a good thing in helping break the glove in!

I am not sure about the 'batting' gloves you have....but I swear by the batting gloves...I fix so many old A2000's that are beautiful in all areas except in the palm...they are all dry rotted away.....I ask guys who bring them in....and to a man each glove that is destroyed has been used by a guy not wearing a batting glove.

Sweat contains two enemies of supple leather....salt and water.

Unless your glove is a cheez-fest Franklin all-vinyl special, use a batting glove and watch the leather interior of your glove hold up for 35-50% longer.
