Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Found this in a little out of the way antique store in Florida. I asked the owner if she had any gloves and she said she did not. Then she told me she had a baseball. She pulls out this little box from a pile of stuff on her desk. When I saw the stamped Mantle signature, I was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't an actual signature and decided to pass on it. Went out to the car and something told me I might never see another. So I went back in and bought it. I did a little search on the net and found one that sold on Legendary for a few hundred dollars. This one is really minty, with almost no yellowing.
I think I did pretty good on this one. Since you had to send in labels from Campbell's beans, you could say that it's a "beanball".
