The Baseball Project

Their second album is set to be released next week and it's sure to be just as good as the first. The band consists of Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck (of R.E.M. fame) and Linda Pittman. If you preoder the album you get two extra songs for immediate download, one of them is about baseball gloves. I've had the chance to talk with Scott a couple of times and he is a really nice guy - huge San Francisco Giants fan. They are doing a big tour through the spring training sites in AZ this March and then will be expanding the tour throughout the year. I think the organizers of the National should get these guys to play a show!
