A couple of bats

I'm a lot more interested in gloves than bats, but I used to find nice bats at my local PAS and antique malls. I'd be interested to know if our bat collectors find many black Louisville Sluggers, since I don't really look for them. Had to put my favorite glove from the era in the picture, a Rocky Colavito PM. :)

The Gus bell looks like it could be a game ready...any stamping on the knob?

Just the number 34 (for the length, I guess) is stamped on the knob.

In the 40's, 50's, and 60's H&B used to paint their bats black and brown for store models when they used wood that just wasn't up to par. The paint covered up alot of blemishes

Thanks cjw! Sub-par wood and all, it was tough to pass up at 8 bucks. I posted a few more from back in the day just to remind myself of when the pickin's wuz better.
