Just a curious question. What are your top 5 interesting pieces in your collection? Here are mine:

1. Very Rare Reach 3 finger fielder's glove. What makes this one so special is that it has a full web.

2. 1924 Women's Industrial League Baseball trophy. Very neat cup with unique designs at the top. Great history of early women's baseball.

3. Early sporting goods advertising piece. A Peerless Sporting Goods wooden wagon.

4. An early baseball bat signage. Lists the bat prices for the time period.

5. Old Spalding trophy with a pitcher topper. This prize was for the Carter Oil Commercial Champs of 1923 Tulsa.

I can't believe you put the Spalding trophy no.5. That would be no.1 in a lot of collections. Here's mine.

1 Set of 3 19th century catchers mask

2 Hole in the palm crescent ( great character glove)

3 Batter figural trophy or statue

4 Old time Chicago Cubs scrapbook (news clippings from 1908 to 1984)

5 Rawlings reeded shinguards

Funny my friend. I just made a general 5 rather than rank them.

Joel,
You have some great stuff! Although some of it looks familiar. Haha!
Just messing with ya. That batter award is one of my favorite molds. Those early figurals are so detailed. The crescent is a true relic of the game. You really took that one and made it look a 100 times better. Return to sender maybe? Haha! Glad you got it. The reeded shin guards are really nice. I personally have never owned any but they are very neat to look at in person.

Too bad the filipino team photo didn't make your list. :(

Just messing with you Rickybulldog. The Filipino team photo almost made the cut falling to a close no. 6. The crescent will never leave the display room. BTW, I could really use a crescent basemitt..hint. Thanks for some really neat stuff.....

Well, I don't have much of a collection yet. I keep saying I'm going to add to it, but time and money are scarce. I can't even name five things, but two cool things I have are 1. a baseball signed by Greg Maddox and 2. a Rick Rush painting of Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripken Jr. and Mark McGuire.

Great topic, I would have to go with:

1) Early Crescent padded glove, courtesy of a trade with a fellow Montana glover!
2) 3-signed team balls from the old Montana Club- 52 Yankees, 52 Dodgers, and 57 Cleveland Indians.
3) Early Pioneer League Ball (although not in my posession as of yet)
4) TruSport fishing lure from my grandfather (this sparked my desire to collect any TruSport items)
5) Early buckle back Marathon base mitt (the glove that started all the madness for me)
