If the leather is supple then the glove should clean up nicely. I'm not sure why the McDonald Wilker brought 1500 a month ago and this one is at 137. Both are interesting, unique gloves. yes, they are from different eras but it seems like this one should be in the $300 to $400 range. Maybe if the back was shown in the pic that shows in the search it would have done better. Great price for the buyer.

maybe it was because they were bidding on the Henry Yee stuff and missed it

That soap opera doesn't play on this channel. :)

Two more items that did pretty well - a nice Spalding Roger Maris box ended at $266 and a Reach LH white full web at $255

...another June glove. I might have been the only bidder. This is a nice older Nokona BM80 Rudy York model. I took the liberty to open it up and re-stuff it with some cut to fit pieces of wrapped horsehair from a scrapped 40's catcher's mitt. Then I cleaned it up and put the web back on exactly the way it was when I received it. I love this glove. I haven't even tried to clean the cloth label. That might be next. Several years ago I picked up a beat up old Art Shires mitt with a busted up interior. Ever since then I've been looking for a better example of the old Nokona base mitt. This one fits the bill.

I followed that Reach full web glove on ebay. It was high quality and had a lot of potential. It looked like it would clean up well. The seams were tight, the leather sturdy and overall it seemed taken care of. Nice job on the glove.

I really loved this vintage 1930's Nakamura glove that sold on ebay for $273. Fairly pristine with the white inner lining, great cloth patch and strong markings in the pocket

I looked and looked at the Medwick glove and box for a long time yesterday becasue I have the same model in mint condition and I would have swapped out the gloves. Went to the Phillies game instead

A late 1920's to early 1930's Reach glove sold for $80 on ebay. I thought it would go for more. It's a solid glove with tight seams, good markings, liner and an intact cloth patch. It looks all there and in good overall condition. The little bit of white color on the wrist strap indicates this was a white leather model. Although very dirty, with some diligence it could clean up well. A forum member bought it so I'd like to see the glove after it's cleaned up.

$86 on ebay. I like the wide thumb seam protector on this one. The triple stitching around the wrist opening makes this a pretty sturdy model.
