Thanks - completely spaced on setting up a new thread - I'll blame my almost three year old for needing ten times more discipline now that he has a baby brother. :P

A really great looking 1960 Rawlings "Bob Turley" model TG24 sold on ebay for $220. Not top of the line but valuable because the glove is one of the early "Trapeze" models as evidenced by the "Patent Applied For" at the base of the web. Pretty cool.

The circa 1926 Marathon "Babe Ruth" glove sold for $820 on ebay. I thought the glove might sell for a higher amount because of its rarity but the overall condition of the back wasn't strong. The stamped endorsement was good but it still didn't turn the tide.

A 1920-30's National Sporting Goods glove sold for $125 on ebay. It is stamped "Ryans Knot Hole Gang" on the heel. The glove is in super condition and looks to be well made. Nice grommet web. It reminds me of the "Baby Ruth" gloves that surface every so often. The glove might have been a premium from a store or magazine.

An interesting 1920's glove sold on ebay for $410. The black leather model is in great shape with a pristine inner lining. It looks like a high quality glove. A previous owner made some ill-advised cuts in the web, to personalize his glove I guess.

The circa 1920 Reach "Double Face" model CH glove sold for $2000 on ebay. An early near mint and top of the line glove is rare to find because they were expensive in their day and generally bought to be well played. This model also has the unique sewn outline of the Reach "Double Face" leather reinforcement inside the palm and finger stalls.

Early 1900's William Read buckleback glove was bidded up to $510 but did not meet its reserve. Not a good sign for the seller since the same glove was bidded up to $880 a couple of months ago. The glove is cool looking with the S&D patented stitched palm. Great cloth patch!

An interesting 1915-20 marathon "Lobert" model full web glove sold on ebay for $280. The glove itself is in great shape and is notable for being an early endorsed model. John Lobert played from 1903-17 with his best year in 1911. He played mainly with Philadelphia and New York in the NL. A YouTube clip purports the old movie "The Big Leaguer" as being based on Lobert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnyfWmFhys4

Not great on the surface as this glove was titled wrong on ebay last week

Bob Diarr Fielders Brand Glove 1940-’45

But then the 3rd picture showed a box, so I figured I would put in a bid of $25.00. Got it for 21.35 plus $10.17 for postage

Got it today and sorry to say the box did not match the glove as it was a box for a JC Higgins glove model number 1636

I have a J C Higgins 1636 model glove Bob Feller

I am happy

A 1950's Nokona "Jelly Sorelle" model G11 and box sold for $405 on ebay. The glove is really stunning and in unused condition. The glove box has some dings but is in pretty good shape.
