2 nice gloves/mitts from doomsdaydefense. First is a 1920's D&M catchers mitt that sold for $91 on ebay. The mitt looks to be of high quality and very good condition

A curious and unique glove sold on ebay for $45. It was listed as a West Point model WF35. I presumed this to be a softball model because of the reinforced palm stitching. The unusual feature is the extended pocket between the first and second finger and between the third and pinky finger. The patent number given for this glove (2417996) was for Ben Stobbe as an assignor to OK manufacturing in 1947.

$563 seems like a crazy high price to me for a glove you could never touch. Doesn't display very well so I guess it goes in a box as an investment.

Speaking of high price, a J.C.Higgins "Lou Gehrig" mitt sold for $750 on ebay. Not a real high quality glove but a good endorsement.

A super rare "Old Emperor" brand three finger glove sold for $159 on ebay. Enough of the silliness, the oval is actually stamped "Oil Tempered" but I still like Old Emperor. the seller was pretty imaginative.

A top of the line Wilson "Lefty Gomez" model 601 sold for $225 on ebay. This glove is really built well. With the stubby fingers, large pocket and triple tunnel web, this glove was considered the "Professional Pitchers Model". Some of the 601's had that stamped in the pocket. This model also has the great looking D-ring wrist strap.

A super mid 1960's Wilson A2001 glove sold for $155 on ebay. As well designed a glove as one will ever find in that time period. The X lacing anchoring the web reminds me of the Sonnett "Bat Web"

A lot of three interesting gloves sold for $100 on ebay. One glove identified as a Reach model is in good shape with an intact cloth patch and simple laced web. The D-ring glove could be a Wilson Or J.C. Higgins. Nice tunnel loop web. The third features the 1930 Rawlings patented adjustable strap web. Pretty good purchase for the buyer in my opinion

A lot of two vintage gloves sold for $153 on ebay. The smaller glove is a "Walter Johnson" model J12. It is a Goldsmith glove and features a die cut web. It is part of a "Famous Player" series Goldsmith manufactured. I have also seen a "Christy Mathewson" model

A 1930's Rawlings "George Sisler" model GS basemitt sold for $153. This is an early version of the Sisler mitt. It is in great shape.

1670 looks like it could be a J. Hans Wagner model to me.

Yeah JD, I also saw the Higgins 1670 "Hans Wagner" in Joe's' Glove Catalog Source Book. Great find for someone with the glove.

Here are some more pictures of the circa 1944 "Roy Cullenbine" model DG36 D&M glove Murph posted because it is a real beauty. The D&M glove has the same web as the MacGregor Goldsmith models of the mid 1940's. From Joe's Catalog Source Book again, Goldsmith bought D&M and MacGregor in 1936-1937 and Goldsmith later became MacGregor Goldsmith. Glove designs and player endorsements intermingled.

A Nice 1940 Spalding "Frankie Frisch" model 128 glove sold on ebay for $128. The glove has been played some but still retains most of the silver stamping. Well built and fairly expensive in its day.

This one I couldn't figure, A 1915-20 Victor or Victor, Wright & Ditson 1" web glove sold for $38 on ebay. I thought it would sell for over $100. As usual, Rob was all over it. The glove has a logo button and some semblance of a cloth patch. Everything looks intact and a nice lining.

Here is a similar Victor Wright & Ditson 1" web glove as above that sold for $170 on ebay,
