A circa 1958 Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" model MMP sold for $410 on ebay. The glove has seen some use but displays well with the markings in the pocket and the black and gold cloth patch mostly there.

I enlarged the back view of the Wagner glove because I thought it was interesting. It looks like part of the lining was purposefully cut out to form a deeper pocket. I don't know how Brett fells about it but I would leave that alone and unravel what remaining leather there is to cover the felt pad and put a backing in place to keep the remnants together and hopefully the finger and thumb stalls are intact. I would probably be against stripping it out and making a whole new lining. I personally like the cutout pocket section a lot because it identifies an historical period really well.vintagebrett wrote:This J.C. Higgins Honus Wagner sold for $344 in Hunt's Internet Auction. Looks like it could be a really nice deal if restoration is done correctly.
