Posted: December 15th, 2009, 12:23 amJack, yeah, I only see model numbers in the 2000 range not the 2400 range. Your picture is clearly a 2452 but I can't identify it from the limited catalogs I have. Your mitt is a lefty buckleback and looks like it's from the 1930's, the tale end of Winchester's production. Wapiti is a kind of elk or deerhide. Hope this helps.
